All-new Japanese-Peruvian Sumiyaki Restaurant, FLNT, makes its grand arrival at 1-Altitude Melaka.

The skyline of Hatten City ignites with excitement as it unveils FLNT, its newest culinary gem. FLNT claims its spot as the triumphant third venue within 1-Altitude Melaka’s sky-high repertoire, offering a breathtaking 360-degree view of the stunning Melaka cityscape.

At its core, FLNT is a Japanese Sumiyaki establishment; but FLNT at 1-Altitude Melaka promises a vibrant and modern culinary experience unlike any other. Hence, these delicate Japanese taste profiles have been playfully intertwined with the intense depth of Peruvian flavours. This is known as ‘Nikkei’ cuisine, which was formed in the 1980s by Japanese immigrant chefs (predominantly from Okinawa) who started to fuse Peruvian ingredients and flavours into classic Japanese dishes.


From an excitingly-new open kitchen concept to sharing plates taking centre stage on Binchotan-fueled Sumiyaki grills, FLNT has arrived, and is looking to leave a lasting impression of gastronomical proportions on the hearts and palates of guests looking for the best Nikkei cuisine Melaka has to offer.

Chef Lamley Chua, Head Chef of FLNT, the culinary maestro behind FLNT, shared his passion:

“At FLNT, it’s more than just tantalising dishes; it’s about the surprise in every bite. We marry the meticulous artistry of Japanese techniques with the vibrant zest of Peruvian nuances, crafting a symphony that dances on the palate. In our kitchen, tradition meets innovation, cultures meld, and every dish becomes a flavour-packed journey.”

The Ceviche De Pulpo is FLNT’s main star being a succulent and fresh Octopus Ceviche. The exquisitely rich Octopus Ceviche is bathed in Leche De Tigre, also known as “Tiger’s Milk, where it gets infused with its zesty and refreshing essence. After being drizzled with an umami-packed onion sauce, it is then elegantly adorned with aromatic fried shallots, the sweet creamy crunch of white corn, and subtle hints of fresh wasabi stem.

As a Sushi and Sashimi specialist, Chef Lamley takes great pride in his daily selection of sashimi. With the items air-flown from Japan, the Assorted Sashimi Selection is artfully presented in a classic yet modern style.

Peruvian Anticucho Chicken, inspired by the Japanese yakitori tradition, takes centre stage at FLNT with its unique Peruvian marinade of aromatic spices, delivering a flavourful twist as it grills to perfection over binchotan coals.

Indulge in FLNT’S premium Japanese Miyazaki A4 Sirloin, expertly charred over coals to let the complex wagyu flavours shine, complemented by an elegant pairing of Black Garlic Sauce and Yuzu Koshu for a tantalising culinary experience.
