Hi everyone! You must always hear about donuts, right? Hmm donuts are so delicious eaten hot and served with a cup of coffee. In Malaysia, we always eat round donuts but today we will learn how to make pillow donuts or square donuts. Some also call it Beignet. Isn’t it interesting? Let’s check the recipe.
Pillow Donut Ingredients
- Warm milk 300ml
- Yeast 7g
- Butter 85g (Melted)
- Wheat flour 480g
- Castor sugar
How to cook:
- 1. Put warm milk, yeast and butter and wheat flour into a container.
- 2. Whisk the ingredients until blended.
- 3. Then knead the flour into dough.
- 4. Let the dough rest for 1 hour.
- 5. Knead the dough again until it is smooth and cut into square shapes.
- 6. Then fry in hot oil.
- 7. Once cooked, mix the donuts with caster sugar.
- 8. Finally, can be served with tea or coffee.
