About Jean Imbert

Since taking the reins at Plaza Athénée in June 2021, succeeding the legendary Alain Ducasse, Chef Jean Imbert has continuously impressed the culinary world. Remarkably, he earned his first Michelin star for his restaurant “Jean Imbert au Plaza Athénée” just nine weeks after opening, a testament to his skill and vision.

In March 2022, Chef Imbert became the first-ever chef at the prestigious Christian Dior boutique located at 30 Avenue Montaigne. However, his journey didn’t end there. In April 2022, he was appointed Chef of the iconic Venice Simplon-Orient-Express train, followed by another prestigious role as Chef at Le Brando, a legendary hotel located on the remote Tetiaroa atoll, in February 2023.

Moving forward, in May 2023, Jean Imbert took on the role of Executive Chef at Hotel Martinez in Cannes, where he launched his first restaurant, “La Plage du Martinez.” Looking ahead, in February 2024, he will lead two new restaurants—Riviera and High Society—at The Lana (Dubai), marking the debut of Dorchester Collection’s first hotel in the Middle East. Moreover, Jean Imbert also oversees operations at Hôtel Cheval Blanc St-Barth and is the visionary behind the “To Share” concept, developed in collaboration with his partner, Pharrell Williams. His accolades include being named Chef of the Year by Quotidien magazine in 2021 and by GQ magazine in 2019. Furthermore, he was recognized by Vanity Fair as one of the 50 most influential French people worldwide. A graduate of the prestigious Institut Paul Bocuse, he is also widely known for winning the Top Chef television competition in 2012.
