We’re back with the Ramadan season again in Malaysia! Today, I’m going to lead you all the way to Subang Jaya, recommending various restaurants that would be an ideal place in breaking your fast in conjunction with this holy month.
1. Food Bazaar
Food Bazaar serves a lot of unique foods. There are a variety of food cuisines from all around the world such as Korean cuisine, Japanese cuisine, Indo cuisine and Arab cuisine and many more. There are also a variety of our local Malaysian dishes served here. If your friends don’t really know which cuisine they prefer as their break the fast meal, then you should bring them here. This is a food court concept eatery place that your orders will be served to you at your seat.

2. Warong Samad
You can enjoy “The Most Underrated Buttermilk Chicken in SS15” which was rated by FoodAdvisor and BestFood at this place! If you want a local dish, you can give a try on the Smoked Beef in Spicy Turmeric Gravy, (there are even ducks here) and other foods that are delicious which are served in a great portion. Warong Samad serves a lot of variety of Malaysian local foods at affordable prices.

If you all feel the urge to break your fast of the day with Nasi Manggey (steamed rice with fried chicken pieces), Warung Cikgu can be included in your choices of options as well. They’re curry is the best! If you are around Subang Jaya, then this place is a must try!

If you’re looking for Malay cuisine dishes, café Bawang Merah will be an option for you. The café space is comfortable and air-conditioned which makes it better if you’re coming to break your fast after a tiring sweaty day at work. They have a lot of dishes that could satisfy your cravings, and some from the menu would be boiled noodles, shrimp fritters, mixed rice and laksa.

5. Rasa Lama @ SS15 Subang
This year’s Ramadan deserves a special welcome, and I believe Rasa Lama can make it a rememberable one.
You’ll get to watch the chef’s culinary artistry live and enjoy an extensive buffet meal which there are over 80 courses from local and western cuisine. The special meals you can find there would be Lamb Grilled over a BBQ, lightly cooked with mint and rosemary sauces. You should also try Beef Briyani (Daging Masak Briyani), Green Curry Clams (Kepah Masak Kari Hijau), Red Cooked Chicken (Ayam Masak Merah), and Malaysian Ice Cream (Ais-Krim Malaysia). The Head Chef, Mr Ashraff, presents a selection of 10 home-made sambals, adding a personal touch of flavours into each meal.

Wanna break fast with a Nasi Lemak? Look no more than this place here for their Nasi Lemak is popular among all! Their Anchovies Sambal (Sambal Ikan Bilis) is the best and tasty. They also serve side dishes such as Spicy Squid Stir Fry (Sambal Sotong) and Fried Pau (Pau Goreng). It is very satisfying!

Jibril has always been the unique spot and different than the rest. With the concept of speakeasy bar, the interior design of the restaurant is pretty creative. Don’t mistakenly have a thought of this restaurant for a bar for it is not! They serve a variety of Western foods that are Malaysian’s favourite.
